Information for prospective students:
I'm always excited to share the research experience with undergraduates, graduate student and postdocs, if research in my lab seems exciting to you, please reach out! Often, I'm limited by funding, but am always eager to explore ways to bring new folks into the lab. Especially for undergraduates, KU has lots of opportunities to fund research experiences, so please reach out - lhileman(a)ku.edu.
For prospective graduate students: students apply to the Masters or PhD program in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Kansas. If you are admitted to the graduate school for study in EEB, the department guarantees full support through Teaching Assistantships for full-time graduate students for five years (PhD) or 2 years (MA). Opportunities for Research Assistantships or Fellowships are also available. Graduate students in my lab have the opportunity to work on ongoing projects in the lab, and to develop their own research projects.
